MISSION STATEMENT
Guardian Angels Consulting Services believes all persons irregardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, income level or medical diagnoses are deserving of the highest quality of life to which each individual is willing to achieve based upon their personal resources.
Based on this premise, Guardian Angels Consulting Services, LLC is committed to educating clients and their caregivers (both professional and non-professional) in the skills and tasks needed to help others to achieve and sustain the highest quality of life. In addition, we will support and encourage referrals to the most appropriate resources available within the client's community to meet unmet, yet identified needs.
ABOUT GUARDIAN ANGELS CONSULTING
Guardian Angels Consulting Services, LLC provides an array of services for professional and non-professional caregivers who work with adult and geriatric populations. Services include but are not limited to:
Workshops are held throughout different parts of the year throughout Wisconsin. They are typically held on Saturdays to accommodate those persons who are unable to take time off of work to attend continuing education programs. They are affordably priced to fit almost everyone’s budget. Most workshops are less than $100. If you would like to have a workshop held at your facility, or if you would like to sponsor a workshop, let us know!
- On-Site Program and Staff Assessment and Training
Consultants are able to work with you to assess your facility/program needs and then work with you to train staff to improve the type(s) and/or quality of service(s) you provide. This includes but is not limited to questions of under or over-utilization of therapy services, program appropriateness and thoroughness, therapy staff skill sets, and patient identification and discharge planning. Screening services for the therapy needs of long-term care residents is also available.
- 1:1 Non-Professional Care-Giving Training
Caring for a loved one can be a challenge. Consultants are able to assess an individual’s needs and provide you with the information and skills needed to make caring for a loved one easier and help ensure their needs are being met in a comprehensive manner. Some examples of specific services include: ‘safety proofing’ a home for a person who is affected by dementia; how to prevent the development of pressure-sores for someone who is immobile; how to make a home safe and more accessible for someone who is loosing their vision; and how to make daily activities easier for a person who is affected by arthritis. Services are provided where you need them and vary based on each individual’s needs.
- Geriatric Care Management
Sometimes life changes quickly and family members want to make the best choice to help a loved one who has experienced declined independence. Our consultants utilize comprehensive functional assessments to provide you with objective recommendations for living environments and services. This helps reduce the anxiety, guilt and stress associated with the choices you may need to make. As an independent party, Guardian Angels‘ recommendations are NOT based on various health care business’ sales tactics or business pressures to refer to facilities within any specified health care provider network.
- Family Surrogate Services
Sometimes family members are geographically separated. We can be there when you can’t. Services include: performing spot checks regarding quality of care; social visitation; participation and consultation regarding care meetings for persons in a residential facility; and performing chart audits to help ensure functional needs are being addressed. Follow-up services are available as well. We can provide follow-up services as often as you want. This helps ensure that as one’s functional abilities change, the living environment and services offered are appropriate and effectively meet the individual’s needs. Fees are dependent upon services provided. Service areas are currently limited to: Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Calumet, Kewaunee, Outagamie and Brown Counties in Wisconsin.
- CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) Services
Guardian Angels services are unique in that its services are provided by a
licensed Occupational Therapist and Certified Dementia Care Specialist. This
means we can effectively assist builders, remodelers, architechts, community
planners, developers, realtors, and the general public in planning for new
communities or structures, and/or modifying existing structures to maximize the
endependence of persons who currently have special needs, as well as guiding
individuals who want their home environment to be prepared for potential future
modifications for physical, sensory or cognitive challenges. Some serices may
be covered by insurance.
Special requests are always considered. If you aren’t sure who to call for help, or you aren’t sure what to do to address your problem, give us a call! If we cannot help you, we can refer you to someone who can.
